Stadium Screening Committee Purpose

Provide information, analysis and advice that will assist the Governor in making a professional stadium proposal for the 2004 legislative session. The Screening Committee will focus on issues related to site selection, financing, ownership and governance of a new professional sports stadium with options that may include baseball and/or football facilities.

Stadium Screening Committee Composition (19 members)

11-18-2003 - Governor Tim Pawlenty today announced the members who will compose the Stadium Screening Committee, a group chaired by Finance Commissioner Dan McElroy, that is charged with reviewing stadium proposals submitted by local leaders, sports teams and citizens across Minnesota. The committee will identify viable stadium solutions for further consideration by the Governor.

The Stadium Screening Committee delivered its recommendation to the Governor on February 2, 2004. It has subsequently been dissolved. The stadium issue is now in the legislative process. Please direct questions and comments on this issue to your local legislators."
