The following is a statement from Governor Tim Pawlenty regarding the jury decision to sentence al-Qaeda conspirator Zacarias Moussaoui to life in prison.  Moussaoui was arrested in Minnesota on August 17, 2001.  

 
"The 9/11 attacks on our country represent unbridled evil. While I respect the jury's decision, this was the type of heinous crime that deserved the death penalty in my opinion."
