He managed the Farmer's Exchange at Verndale, Minnesota from 1918-1934. In 1925 and 1929 he was elected secretary of the Verndale Wool Growers Association. This organization was ranked second largest in volume among the five wool grower associations in Minnesota. He was secretary of the Verndale Creamery Association in 1927. He was a member of the Masonic and Modern Woodman lodges. (Information provided by his great grandson)
