GENERAL NOTES

He moved to Franklin County, Vermont in 1834, with his mother. He went to Auburn, Massachusetts in 1850. He returned to Franklin County, Vermont around 1853. He came to Minnesota in July 1856. He settled at St. Anthony, Minnesota in August 1856.

He ran unsuccessfully as the Democratic party endorsed candidate for Minnesota Attorney General in the 1865 election.

He ran unsuccessfully as the Democratic party endorsed candidate for Minnesota Supreme Court Judge in the 1874 election.

He ran unsuccessfully as the Democratic party endorsed candidate for the United States Senate in the 1875 election.

He resigned from the military with a surgeon's certificate of disability.

He is buried in Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN.
