GENERAL NOTES

He was a member of the Republican Party. (Minneapolis Star, May 15, 1974)

He was the chief author of the Metropolitan Fiscal Disparities Act in 1971.

He ran unsuccessfully for the Minnesota Senate in the 1962 election.

He was the seventh born of eight children.

He died form cancer at home in Anoka, Minnesota. His funeral was held at Zion Lutheran Church in Anoka, Minnesota. He was buried in Forest Hill Cemetery in Anoka, Minnesota.
