Peterson:It has come to my attention that you have invited Raheel Raza to speak to legislators at theCapitol tomorrow. Ms. Raza is an extremist who is associated with anti-Muslim hate groupsACT for America and the Clarion Project.According to the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC):ACT for America is listed as an anti-Muslim hate group because it pushes wild anti-Muslim conspiracy theories, denigrates American Muslims and deliberately conflatesmainstream and radical Islam.Ms. Raza's hateful agenda includes closing mosques, enforcing a Muslim ban, rejectingrefugees, and policing the practice of the Islamic faith. As elected officials, it's our job to represent diverse views and treat all Minnesotans with respect.Hate is not welcome at the Minnesota State Capitol. As such, I respectfully request you rescindyour invitation to Ms. Raza.Thank you for your attention to this matter.Sincerely, Melissa HortmanHouse DFL Leader
