Text: March 12, 2020Fellow Senators and Senate staff,The Governor has announced a 1 pm press conference tomorrow afternoon to announce additionalmitigation efforts regarding coronavirus. We will provide additional information once it is available.In the best interest of senators, staff, and the public, beginning Monday, March 16, we are planning tolimit access to senate office suites and staff areas to the public as by appointment only. This means youwill need to badge in and out of these areas during all hours. We request appointments be limited tono more than 2 guests in a senate office at a time (does not include staff). Larger groups may still beaccommodated in certain public conference rooms, such as 3414 or G-250, or in the general areas ofthe building. Caucus conference rooms will remain for members and staff only.At this time, conversations are on-going about managing committee agendas and meetings. Thesedecisions are being made based on information and advice we have received from the MinnesotaDepartment of Health and the Centers for Disease Control. We know many of you have already takenmeasures to protect yourself and constituents.
