GOVERNOR PAWLENTY SENDS LETTER REQUESTING SBA ASSISTANCE FOR FARIBAULT, FREEBORN, OLMSTED, OTTER TAIL, POLK, STEELE AND WADENA COUNTIES -- July 7, 2010

Governor Tim Pawlenty sent a letter today to the U. S. Small Business Administration requesting an SBA Disaster Declaration for the state of Minnesota in Faribault, Freeborn, Olmsted, Otter Tail, Polk, Steele and Wadena counties as a result of severe storms, tornadoes and flooding that occurred on June 17-26, 2010.

The Governor said that the affected counties should qualify for the emergency loan program because the SBA damage threshold of at least 25 homes and/or businesses with 40 percent or more uninsured losses has been met.
