GOVERNOR'S RESIDENCE HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSES -- December 3, 2010
 

Saint Paul -- Governor Tim Pawlenty and First Lady Mary Pawlenty announced the Governor’s Residence, which has been decorated for the holidays, will again open to the public for holiday tours on three Tuesdays in December: Tuesday, December 7, Tuesday, December 14 and Tuesday, December 21, from 1:00-3:00 p.m.

“The Governor’s Residence was graciously donated to the state by Olivia Irvine Dodge and Clotilde Irvine Moles and belongs to the people of Minnesota,” Governor Pawlenty said. “The First Lady and I invite all Minnesotans to visit this marvelous place.”

Visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy live music and view the beautiful holiday decorations. Tours are free of charge, and are guided by the Docents of the Minnesota Historical Society Women’s Organization. A photo ID is required for admittance and backpacks and strollers are not permitted in the house.

The Governor's Residence is also a drop-off site for Second Harvest Heartland; nonperishable food donations are greatly appreciated. For more information, please call 651-297-2161.
