GOVERNOR PAWLENTY APPOINTS IVES TO BOARD OF ARCHITECTURE, ENGINEERING, LAND SURVEYING, LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE, GEOSCIENCE AND INTERIOR DESIGN -- June 6, 2003

Saint Paul -- Governor Tim Pawlenty today announced the appointment of Mary Ives to the Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience and Interior Design.

Ives, of Grand Rapids, is a self-employed business owner in the housing, commercial development and lodging industry. She serves on numerous civic and community boards, and was elected member of the Itasca County Board of Commissioners. Ives replaces Shirley Latts, who resigned, to complete a four-year term that expires on January 3, 2005.

The Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience and Interior Design licenses and regulates architects, engineers, land surveyors, landscape architects, geoscientists and certifies interior designers. The board consists of 21 members appointed by the Governor.
