GOVERNOR PAWLENTY APPOINTS THREE TO BOARD OF ELECTRICITY -- June 27, 2003

Saint Paul -- Governor Tim Pawlenty today announced the appointment of Daniel Klein and Lori Marker and the reappointment of Thomas Seanger to the Board of Electricity. All three are appointed to four-year terms that expire on January 1, 2007.

Klein, of Cold Spring, has been a journeyman electrician for 15 years and has experience in industrial, commercial, agricultural and residential construction. Klein replaces Anthony Toft as a representative of journeyman electricians.

Marker, of Minneapolis, has a bachelor of science degree in urban studies from the University of Minnesota. Marker replaces Steven Billings as a public member.

Seanger, of Melrose, owns Melrose Electric, and has held a class "A" master electrician's license for over 30 years. Seanger, who is currently president of the board, is reappointed to his second four-year term as a representative of master electricians.

The Board of Electricity licenses electricians and inspects all new electrical installations in any construction, remodeling, replacement or repair. The board consists of 11 members appointed by the Governor.
