GOVERNOR PAWLENTY APPOINTS SEVEN TO THE GOVERNOR'S INTERAGENCY COORDINATING COUNCIL ON EARLY CHILDHOOD INTERVENTION -- October 17, 2003
 

Saint Paul -- Governor Tim Pawlenty today announced the appointment of Jill Haak, John Hoffman, Barbara Jacobson, Debra Monahan, Mavis Ochsendorf, Jane Roundtree, and Linda Wintz to the Governor's Interagency Coordinating Council on Early Childhood Intervention.

Jill Haak, of Sartell, is appointed to a partial term ending January 2, 2006. She fills a Council position for a provider of services for children with disabilities under age five. Haak will sit in the Council seat formerly held by Linda Nelson.

John Hoffman, of Champlin, is appointed to a partial term ending January 2, 2006. He fills the Council position for a representative of an advocacy organization for children with disabilities. Hoffman will sit in the Council seat formerly held by Judy Swett.

Barbara Jacobson, of Annandale, is appointed to a four-year term ending January 1, 2007. She fills a Council position for a parent of a child with disabilities under age twelve. Jacobson will sit in the Council seat formerly held by Wes Mattsfield.

Debra Monahan, of Rochester, is appointed to a partial term ending January 2, 2006. She fills a Council position for a parent of a child with disabilities under age twelve. Monahan will sit in the Council seat formerly held by Jennifer Oxborough.

Mavis Ochsendorf, of Boyd, is appointed to a partial term ending January 5, 2004. She fills the Council position for a local Head Start director. Ochsendorf will sit in the Council seat formerly held by Jolyn Vigen.

Jane Roundtree, of Shoreview, is appointed to a four-year term ending January 1, 2007. She fills a Council position for a provider of services for children with disabilities under age five. Roundtree will sit in the Council seat formerly held by Diane Landwehr.

Linda Wintz, of Waseca, is appointed to a partial term ending January 2, 2006. She fills the Council position for a special education director. Wintz will sit in the Council seat formerly held by Barbara Troolin.

The Governor's Interagency Coordinating Council on Early Childhood Intervention is charged with advising on the creation of interagency programs of early childhood intervention services for children with disabilities (primarily under five years of age) and their families. The Council is made up of 17-25 members appointed by the Governor.
