Saint Paul -- Governor Tim Pawlenty today announced the appointment of Molly Sigel and the reappointment of Kari Berman to the Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC).

Berman, of Edina, is an attorney in private practice. Berman, who has been a member of the MAC since 2003, recently resigned from MAC District B when she moved her residence. She replaces Coral Houle as a resident of MAC District C for a four-year term that expires on January 5, 2009.

Sigel, of Deephaven, is a community volunteer and previously worked in government and legislative relations. Sigel replaces Kari Berman as a resident of MAC District B to complete a four-year term that expires on January 1, 2007.

The Metropolitan Airports Commission promotes air transportation locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally by developing the Twin Cities metropolitan area as an aviation center. The commission consists of 15 members, including 13 appointed by the Governor, one appointed by the mayor of Minneapolis and one appointed by the mayor of St. Paul.
