GOVERNOR PAWLENTY APPOINTS PETERSON TO THE BOARD OF DIETETICS AND NUTRITION PRACTICE -- February 25, 2005
 

Saint Paul -- Governor Tim Pawlenty today announced the appointment of Janelle Peterson to the Board of Dietetics and Nutrition Practice.

Peterson, of Minneapolis, has been a dietitian for over fifteen years. Since 2003, she has served as a Nutrition Specialist at Pediatric Home Service in Roseville. From 1994 to 2003, Peterson served as District Support Dietitian at Sodexho Healthcare and as a Clinical Dietitian at Children's Hospitals and Clinics in Minneapolis and St. Paul.

Peterson received a B.S. in Dietetics and Psychology from Minnesota State University-Mankato. She completed her internship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Peterson is a registered dietitian and a licensed dietitian in the State of Minnesota. She is appointed to a Board position for a dietitian and will serve a term which ends August 1, 2008. Peterson fills the Board seat formerly held by Laurie Arndt.

The Board of Dietetics and Nutrition Practice is responsible for licensing and disciplining dietitians and nutritionists. The board is made up of seven members appointed by the Governor.
