GOVERNOR PAWLENTY APPOINTS TWO TO BOARD OF DENTISTRY -- March 29, 2007
 

Governor Tim Pawlenty today announced the appointment of Dr. Freeman Rosenblum D.D.S. and Dr. Joan Sheppard D.D.S. to the Board of Dentistry. Both are appointed as dentist members to four-year terms that expire on January 3, 2011.

Rosenblum, of Burnsville, has been practicing dentistry for 41 years. He holds a master of pediatric dentistry degree from the University of Nebraska, a doctor of dental surgery from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry and a bachelor of science from the U of M. Rosenblum is a former president of the Minnesota Association of Pediatric Dentists, St. Paul District Dental Society and Minnesota Board of Dentistry. Rosenblum replaces Dr. John Bengtson on the board.

Sheppard, of Bloomington, has been practicing dentistry for 26 years. She obtained her doctor of dental surgery from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry and holds a bachelor of arts in psychology from the U of M. Sheppard is a member of American Dental Association, Minnesota Dental Association and St. Paul District Dental Society. She is a past board member of the Dakota County Technical College dental assisting program. Sheppard replaces Dr. Ronald King on the board.

The Board of Dentistry examines, licenses and regulates dental health care professionals. The board consists of nine members appointed by the Governor.
