Governor Tim Pawlenty today announced the appointment of Dr. Matthew J. Anderson, D.C. and the reappointment of Dr. Ralph Stouffer, Ed. D. to the Board of Chiropractic Examiners. Both are appointed to four-year terms that expire on January 3, 2011.

Anderson, of Edina, is the owner, president and practicing doctor of chiropractic at the Normandale Chiropractic Health Care Center. He practiced in California for two years before owning his own practice in Bloomington. Anderson is a member of the American Chiropractic Association and Minnesota Chiropractic Association. He holds the position of associate clinic faculty and is an advisory board member at Northwestern Health Sciences University, in Bloomington. Anderson is appointed as a chiropractor member and replaces Dr. LeRoy Otto on the board.

Stouffer, of Roseville, is a professor and associate dean in the School of Education at the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis. Stouffer has been on the faculty of the University of St. Thomas since 1972. He is a former member of the Charter Commission for the City of Fridley and a former school board member for Fridley public schools. He received his doctor of education degree from the University of South Dakota. Stouffer is reappointed as a public member of the board.

The Board of Chiropractic Examiners examines, licenses and regulates chiropractors, sets board fees, prescribes rules and handles complaints. The board is made up of seven members appointed by the Governor.
