GOVERNOR PAWLENTY REAPPOINTS HILL AND TOLLEFSON TO BOARD OF CHIROPRACTIC EXAMINERS -- February 19, 2009
 

Saint Paul – Governor Tim Pawlenty today announced the reappointment of Kim Hill and Dr. Richard Tollefson to the Minnesota Board of Chiropractic Examiners. Both are reappointed to a four-year term that expires January 7, 2013.

Hill, of Lonsdale, has been employed as a teacher in the Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan School District for the past 23 years. She is a nationally certified teacher in reading and language arts who currently works for Dakota Hills Middle School as a reading specialist. She previously coordinated the gifted and talented program for Dakota Hills Middle School. Hill received a bachelor of science degree in elementary education from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, and a master of science degree in experiential education from Mankato State University. Hill is reappointed as a public member of the board.

Tollefson, of Coon Rapids, has been a Minnesota licensed doctor of chiropractic medicine since 1987. His clinic, North Suburban Chiropractic Clinic, is located in Coon Rapids, Minnesota. Tollefson previously served as a state licensing examiner for the Board of Chiropractic Examiners and has been an examiner for part VI of the National Board Practice Exam for the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners. Tollefson earned his undergraduate degree from Bemidji State University and his doctor of chiropractic medicine degree from Northwestern College of Chiropractic in Bloomington. He is reappointed as a doctor of chiropractic medicine member of the board.

The Minnesota Board of Chiropractic Examiners is responsible for licensing and disciplining doctors of chiropractic medicine. The board is made up of seven members appointed by the Governor.
