GOVERNOR PAWLENTY APPOINTS FOUR TO ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY COUNCIL -- May 4, 2009
 

Saint Paul - Governor Tim Pawlenty today announced the appointment of Peter Morton, and the reappointment of Jennifer Delisi, Mark Felling, and Heidi Johnson to the Governor’s Advisory Council on Technology for People with Disabilities. All are appointed as public members to a three-year term that expires January 2, 2012.

Morton, of Minneapolis, is a consultant with Lighthouse Management Consulting, Inc. He holds a master of business administration degree in strategic management from the Carlson School of Management.

Delisi, of Eagan, is a board certified therapist. She works for Lifeworks Services, a private non-profit organization that provides customized services for people with disabilities. Delisi holds a masters degree from the University of Minnesota.

Felling, of Maple Grove, is the president of Broadened Horizons, Inc., a company specializing in innovative solutions for people with upper extremity physical mobility limitations. Felling earned his masters of business administration from Regis University in Denver, Colorado, and his bachelor of arts degree in electrical engineering from North Dakota State University in Fargo.

Johnson, of Bemidji, is retired from the Social Security Administration and is a parent of a child with special needs. She earned her bachelor of arts degree from the University of Minnesota.

The Governor’s Advisory Council on Technology for People with Disabilities administers the Minnesota System of Technology to Achieve Results (STAR) program. The STAR Program is federally funded by the Rehabilitation Services Administration in accordance with the Assistive Technology Act of 1998. The council consists of 16 members including 11 public members appointed by the Governor and five members of designated state agencies.
