GOVERNOR PAWLENTY APPOINTS JENSEN TO BOARD OF ACCOUNTANCY -- January 13, 2010
 

Saint Paul – Governor Tim Pawlenty today announced the appointment of Sharon Jensen to the Board of Accountancy.

Jensen, of Savage, is an executive finance consultant, the European U.S. controller, and international manager of financial reporting with Hudson Financial Solutions in Minneapolis. Her professional background has included positions as director of internal audit and the Sarbanes-Oxley and risk services practice leader with Robert Half International in Minneapolis, corporate chief financial officer, and a private practice certified public accountant. Jensen, a licensed certified public accountant (CPA), earned a bachelor of science degree in finance and accounting from Montana State University in Bozeman. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants; Minnesota Society of CPAs, where she served on the Board of Directors and chaired its legislative policy committee; Wisconsin Institute of CPAs; Wyoming Society of CPAs, where she served as president; American Management Association; and Institute of Internal Auditors. Jensen, who replaces Ramanik Shah as a CPA member of the Board of Accountancy, is appointed to a four-year term that expires on January 6, 2014.

The Board of Accountancy examines, licenses and regulates certified public accountants. The board consists of nine members appointed by the Governor.
