GOVERNOR PAWLENTY APPOINTS MORROW TO MARRIAGE AND FAMILY THERAPY BOARD -- October 28, 2010
 

Saint Paul – Governor Tim Pawlenty today announced the appointment of Dennis R. Morrow, Ph.D., to the Board of Marriage and Family Therapy.

Morrow, of Plymouth, is the associate executive director of ReachGlobal. He has a 35-year professional background in education, which includes serving as dean of graduate programs at Bethel University, an administrator with Daystar University in Kenya, superintendent of Brooklyn Center Public Schools, high school principal at a number of schools, and a history teacher in the Anoka-Hennepin Schools. Morrow earned his doctorate degree in educational administration from the University of Minnesota (U of M), his master of arts degree in teaching from the University of St. Thomas, and his bachelor of arts degree in history from the U of M. He has a wealth of involvement in professional and civic organizations in the state, country, and worldwide. Morrow replaces Rebekah McDonald on the Board of Marriage and Family Therapy as a public member, and is appointed to complete a four-year term that expires on January 3, 2011.

The Minnesota Board of Marriage and Family Therapy licenses and disciplines marriage and family therapists. The board consists of seven members appointed by the Governor.
