The following is a statement from Governor Tim Pawlenty regarding the conclusion of his radio program “Good Morning, Minnesota.”

“In consultation with our host station, WCCO AM, we have decided that the last broadcast of ‘Good Morning, Minnesota’ will be on Friday, June 30.

“Although an attorney for the Federal Communications Commission has said that our show could continue until I officially file papers in mid-July to run for a second term, I believe it is appropriate to announce the end of the program now and wrap up before the stated deadline.

“We also want to thank the numerous communities around the state that hosted one of our on-the-road broadcasts. We greatly enjoyed the opportunity to meet with and share the stories of many Minnesotans and others from all walks of life.”
