GOVERNOR PAWLENTY REAPPOINTS TWO TO MINNESOTA AUTOMOBILE ASSIGNED CLAIMS BUREAU -- February 13, 2009
 

Saint Paul – Governor Tim Pawlenty today announced the reappointment of Brenda Elmer and Bennett Montzka to the Minnesota Automobile Assigned Claims Bureau Governing Committee. Both are appointed to public member positions and will serve two-year terms that expire on January 3, 2011.

Elmer, of Moorhead, serves as a member of the Commission on Judicial Selection, the Fargo-Moorhead YMCA Board of Directors, volunteers at her children’s school, and has served on the Moorhead Public Service Commission and the Minnesota Environmental Quality Board. Elmer has been a member of the board since 2003.

Montzka, of Stacy, is a general practice attorney with Montzka Legal Services in Wyoming. He is serving his third term on the Chisago County Board of Commissioners, and is currently board chair. He also serves on the East Central Regional Development Commission, RushLine Task Force, Wyoming Area Library Society, and the National Association of Counties, Courts, and Corrections National Subcommittee. Montzka has been a member of the Board since 2007.

The Minnesota Automobile Assigned Claims Bureau governs the operation of the Minnesota Auto Assigned Claims Plan in providing no-fault basic economic loss benefits to eligible recipients. The governing board consists of seven members, including two public members appointed by the Governor.
