GOVERNOR PAWLENTY APPOINTS KOPPENDRAYER TO INVESTMENT ADVISORY COUNCIL -- May 4, 2009
 

Saint Paul – Governor Tim Pawlenty today announced the appointment of J. LeRoy Koppendrayer to the Investment Advisory Council (IAC).

Koppendrayer, of Princeton, retired from state service in June 2008 as chair of the Public Utilities Commission (PUC). He was a member of the PUC from 1997 to 2003, when he was appointed chair. Koppendrayer was a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives from 1991 until his appointment to the PUC in 1997, and previously held positions with Fingerhut Corporation, Reserve Mining Company, was a dairy farmer, and a self employed agricultural consultant. Koppendrayer replaces Ann Schluter on the Investment Advisory Council to fill an unscheduled vacancy for a retiree member. He will complete a four-year term that expires on January 3, 2011.

The Investment Advisory Council advises the State Board of Investment on policy relating to investments of state funds. The council consists of 17 members, including three appointed by the Governor.
