Governor Tim Pawlenty today ordered that the United States flag and the State of Minnesota flag be flown at half-staff at the State Capitol from sunrise until sunset on Saturday, November 18, 2006, in honor and remembrance of Kyle William Clarence Weisbrich, a volunteer firefighter from Melrose who died on Saturday, November 12, 2006 while performing his duties as a volunteer firefighter.
Funeral services for Kyle Weisbrich will be held in Melrose, Minnesota on Saturday.
Whereas: Kyle William Clarence Weisbrich was born on October 27, 1984, in St. Cloud, Minnesota, to Duane and Cindy (Anderson) Weisbrich; and
Whereas: After graduating from Melrose High School in 2003, Kyle Weisbrich went on to study at St. Cloud Technical College for Firefighter I and II and was a Minnesota State Registered Emergency Medical Technician (EMT); and
Whereas: Kyle Weisbrich was a volunteer firefighter for the Melrose Fire Department since February, 2006; and
Whereas: Kyle Weisbrich passed away as the result of an in-the-line-of-duty accident while performing his duties as a volunteer firefighter on Sunday, November 12, 2006; and
Whereas: Kyle Weisbrich is survived by his mother, Cindy Anderson-Weisbrich; father Duane Weisbrich; brother, Justin Weisbrich; grandparents, Dick and LaNita Anderson; aunt and uncle, Pete and Cec (Anderson) Tylutki; and many other family and friends who loved him dearly and will miss him greatly; and
Whereas: Visitation for Kyle Weisbrich will be held on Friday, November 17, 2006, at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home from 3:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A family and firefighter prayer service will be held on Friday at 6:30 p.m.; and
Whereas: A funeral service for Kyle William Clarence Weisbrich will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Melrose. Additional visitation will be held before the funeral from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.; and
Whereas: The State of Minnesota thanks Kyle William Clarence Weisbrich for his dedicated service to the health and well being of the people of this state and our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
Now, Therefore, I, Tim Pawlenty, Governor of Minnesota, do hereby order all U.S. flags and Minnesota flags be flown at half-staff at the Capitol Complex, including state buildings, monuments and grounds in proximity to and including the Minnesota State Capitol, from sunrise until sunset on Saturday, November 18, 2006, in honor and remembrance of Kyle William Clarence Weisbrich.
