Which public areas are open in the Capitol, State Office Building, and Minnesota Senate Building for the 2022 session?

The State Capitol building is open to the public Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. The State Capitol will reopen on Saturdays starting February 26, 2022. Saturday hours will be from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM. The building remains locked on Sundays. Public access to the House chamber is limited. Please contact the House Sergeant-At-Arms Office with questions: 651-296-4860. If you have questions about accessing the Senate chamber, please contact the Senate Sergeant at Arms Office: 651-296-1119.

The Minnesota Senate Building is partially open to the public. The lobby and first floor hearing rooms are open to the public. Access to the second and third floors is restricted. Most Capitol complex cafeterias are currently closed. The Rathskeller (Capitol Café) is in the basement of the State Capitol Building and will be open from 8:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Monday - Thursday and 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Fridays.
