GENERAL NOTES

Toensing and the Minnesota Legislative Manual, 1877 list his last name as Vollmer. The Minnesota Legislative Manuals, 1883 and 1885, and Biographical Sketches of the Officers of the State Government of Minnesota and the 19th Minnesota State Legislature by C.L. Hall, 1877 list both Vollmer and Volmer.

He moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1852. He came to Minnesota in 1857, settled in St. Paul. He moved to Le Sueur, Minnesota in the fall of 1866. He moved to Winsted Lake, Minnesota in the spring of 1871.
