    He was captain of the St. Thomas College football team in 1924. He served as an assistant football coach there from 1929-1931.

    He became President of Minnegasco after he left the Minnesota Senate.

    He was a member of the Board of Trustees for St. Thomas College in St. Paul, Minnesota.

    He died at St. Mary's Hospital in Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota. His funeral was held at St. Austin's Catholic Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
