He came to the United States in 1879 and settled in Alden, Freeborn County, Minnesota. He moved to Tyler, Lincoln County, Minnesota in 1894. He moved to Askov, Pine County, Minnesota in 1906.

The Minnesota Legislative Manual, 1919 lists his last name as Pederson. All other sources list Pedersen.

He died in Askov, Minnesota.
