GENERAL NOTES

Religion provided by the Minnesota Legislative Manual, 1987-88.

"Norman was 'a very accomplished farmer,' [his son] Bruce DeBlieck said. Norman grew up in a farm family, and he and his wife Edith would go on to purchase their own farm in the Tracy area in 1963. While DeBlieck only served one term in the Minnesota House, from 1987 to 1989, he accomplished a lot, Bruce DeBlieck said. Norman was part of a Minnesota fact-finding trip to Panama and Honduras, as well as a trip to Germany to inspect military installations. He also played a key role in starting efforts to build a veterans' home in southwest Minnesota. The veterans' home in Luverne would open in 1994." (Marshall Independent obituary, December 30, 2021)

His funeral was held at 10:30 a.m. on December 31, 2021 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tracy.
