GENERAL NOTES

He was of Polish ancestry.

He was a member of the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party until he switched to the Independent-Republican Party in 1988.

He ran unsuccessfully as the Independent Republican endorsed candidate for the Minnesota House of Representatives in the 1988 election.

He ran unsuccessfully as the Independent Republican endorsed candidate for the 4th Congressional House District in 1994, 1996, and 1998. He lost the Republican Party endorsement in 2000.

He ran unsuccessfully as the Republican Party endorsed candidate for the Minnesota Senate in 2000.

He died of mesothelioma cancer, related to asbestos exposure, at his home.

He was a member of the Church of St. Peter's Catholic Church in North St. Paul, Minnesota. His funeral was held there on February 16, 2009 and he was buried in St. Mary's Cemetery in North St. Paul, Minnesota.
