    He was a sled dog musher.

    On March 8, 2012, he arrived at the Capitol, after eight days of travel by dog sled from Grand Marais to St. Paul, in order to deliver petitions regarding sulfide mining in northern Minnesota.

    A celebration of life is planned at the Hovland Town Hall on February 5.
