He came to Virginia, Minnesota in October 1893. He moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1919. He moved to Hollywood, California in 1924.

"Orrin Harold Griggs was, without question, a principal developer of the beginnings on the Iron Range, which have brought it to its present point of development."
