He is identified as a Republican in Minnesota in Three Centuries' section on the 14th Legislature (1872).
He came to Minnesota in 1866.
He was the subject of an impeachment trial while a Judge in 1878. He was impeached for official misconduct by the Minnesota House of Representatives in the winter of 1878 but was acquitted by the Minnesota Senate in June 1878. "Judge Page was charged with having an arbitrary and violent temper; treating witnesses, counsel, and litigants improperly; lacking dignity and decorum; being retained by a newspaper while sitting on a case involving the paper; being prejudiced against litigants; and overbearing and offensive conduct." There was an assassination attempt on his life, while he was a Judge, in August 1880.
