GENERAL NOTES

He came to Minnesota in 1870.

He ran unsuccessfully for re-election in 1910.

As Mayor of St. Cloud, a suit was filed against him by the Attorney General for malfeasance in office. He allowed saloons in St. Cloud to remain open on Sundays, which violated state law. The Minnesota Supreme Court ruled in the favor of the Attorney General. (Star Tribune, September 16, 1906 and Minneapolis Tribune, June 8, 1907)

He is interred in Saint Mary's Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
