GENERAL NOTES

According to History of Goodhue County Minnesota, he came to the United States in 1857 with his parents, they settled in Wisconsin for one year, then moved to Minneola Township, Goodhue County, Minnesota. However the Minnesota Legislative Manual, 1913 says they migrated directly from Norway to a farm in Goodhue Township, Minnesota eight years after he was born.

He was of Norwegian descent.
