Governor's Job Training Council

Function:

Under the federal Job Training Partnership Act, the council reviews plans of all Minnesota state agencies that provide employment, training, and related services; provides comments and recommendations to the governor, state legislature, and state and federal agencies on the relevance and effectiveness of employment and training programs in Minnesota. History:

Authorization repealed (1995 Minn. Laws Chap. 131 Sec. 3). Succeeded by the Governor's Workforce Development Council.

Membership:

15 members appointed by the governor. As of 1984, 27 members appointed by governor, including government employees and members of the public.
