Stadium Task Force

Function:

The Stadium Task Force was created by the Governor and the Legislature to study and make recommendations regarding the asserted needs of the Minnesota Twins, the Minnesota Vikings, and the University of Minnesota football team for new stadiums.

Membership:

The 18 member panel includes six individuals appointed by each the House, Senate, and Governor's office. 

House appointees: Rep. Kevin Goodno, R-Moorhead; Rep. Mary Liz Holberg, R-Lakeville; Rep. Tom Osthoff, DFL-St. Paul; Rep. Al Juhnke, DFL-Willmar; James Lawrence, executive vice president and chief financial officer of General Mills; Jim Robinson, executive director for operations and development of the Summit University Teen Center

Senate appointees: Sen. Steve Kelly, DFL-Hopkins; Sen. Sandy Pappas, DFL-St. Paul; Sen. Cal Larson, R-Fergus Falls; Sen. Roy Terwilliger, R-Edina; William Haddeland, senior advisor to Minnesota Public Radio; Barbara Muesing, director of external affairs for the University of Minnesota College of Continuing Education

Governor appointees: Harvey Mackay, chairman of Mackay Envelope Corp, Minneapolis; Dean Barkley, state planning director; Dorthy Bridges, CEO of Franklin Bank, Minneapolis; Karla Blomberg, co-chair of Minnesotans for Major League Baseball; Pam Wheelock, state finance commissioner; Larry Buegler, former banker and St. Paul city planning director
