Port of Duluth Task Force

Function: The commissioner shall convene a task force to identify, evaluate, and recommend options for new or additional agricultural or other trade-related uses of the Port of Duluth.
No later than March 1, 2008, the commissioner shall report to the chairs of the house and senate committees with jurisdiction over agriculture finance.
History:
The 2008 Secretary of State report for the Port of Duluth Task Force says they "met five times, prepared report to legislature."
Membership:
Representatives from MN Department of Agriculture, MN Department of Natural Resources, Dept. of Trade and Economic Development; Port Authority; City of Duluth; stakeholders representing (but not limited to) Minnesota's commodity trade, transportation and storage interests.
Meetings are held at: St. Paul or Duluth.
