Esthetician Medical Care and Two-Tier License Advisory Task Force

Function: Established by the Board of Cosmetologist Examiners. The advisory task force will review "in connection with medical care" and "in the office of a licensed physician" in 155A.23 and 155A.29, and the scope of practice of a potential Two-Tier license.
History:
This task force was born out of recommendations from the Advisory Task Force to Review Esthetician Training.
Membership:
The agency should have one member that meets each of the following criteria (a member may meet more than one criteria): is a licensed esthetician (esti) instructor; is a licensed esti working in an urban setting; is a licensed esti working in a rural setting; is an esti licensed <3 years ago; is an esti licensed >5 years ago; is a licensed esti working in a medical setting; is a licensed cosmetologist; is a member of the public; is a member of another Board that establishes scope of practice; or is a third party facilitator.
