Technology Accessibility Advisory Committee

Function: To provide strategic input to the state's Chief Information Accessibility Officer and the Office of Accessibility regarding plans and activities to make all of the state's electronic and information technology accessible.
History: Once a statutory advisory body, the Technology Accessibility Advisory Committee advances the accessibility of State of Minnesota information technology systems used by citizens and employees. Their ultimate goal is to enable citizens to effectively seek and obtain information or services from the state, regardless of ability.

The previous body was named the Advisory Committee for Technology Standards for Accessibility and Usability.

Membership: 12 members listed on MN.IT website in 2014. All but two members represent a specific state agency or entity. The other two members represent the user community, particularly people with disabilities.
