Health Care Transformation Task Force

Function:

The 2007 Legislature required the Governor to convene a Health Care Transformation Task Force to develop an action plan for transforming the health care system in Minnesota in ways that improve affordability, access, quality of health care, and the health status of Minnesotans.

History:

After meeting for 7 months, the task force delivered its comprehensive recommendations to Governor Pawlenty in February 2008.

Membership:

The Task Force had 13 members appointed by the Governor, four members appointed by the Legislature, and one ex officio member.
