History:

Name changed from Abstractors Board of Examiners to Board of Abstractors, 1975 Minn. Laws Chap. 271 Sec. 3 (22). Host department: Commerce. Membership:

7 members (4 abstracters, 1 attorney, 2 public members); appointed by governor; 4-year terms; per diem plus expenses; members file with Ethical Practices Board.; Originally (1957): 5 members; 6-year terms; senate confirmation not required.
