Department of Business Research and Development
The Economic Development Department started as the Department of Business Research and Development in 1947. At that time, the rights, powers, and duties by law imposed by and vested in the Minnesota resources commission, and the Minnesota tourist bureau were transferred to and imposed upon the newly created department.
1981 Minn. Laws Chap. 356 Sec. 64 abolished the Economic Development Department and established the Department of Energy, Planning, and Development.
The library has 3 years of the Economic Development Department's Biennial report.
