Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council

Function:

Advises, consults with, and makes recommendations to the Minnesota commissioner of health regarding the formulation of policy and plans for the organization, delivery, and evaluation of emergency medical services in Minnesota.

History:

The Council expired June 30, 1994 per Minn. Stat. 15.059 Subd. 5 as amended by 1993 laws. 

Reinstated 1995 Minn. Laws Chap. 246 Sec. 2.
Sec. 4. [EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES ADVISORY COUNCIL.]
The emergency medical services advisory council reinstated in section 2 expires June 30, 1996.

17 members (8 representatives of regional EMS governing boards, 7 technical representatives, 1 community health services agency representative, 1 representative of the public at large); 3-year terms; appointed by commissioner of health; travel expenses. (as of 1990)
