Function: The Council hears personnel appeals, sets policy for administration of examinations, reviews classification and compensations plans and proposed rule changes.
History: The council meets as needed, usually 1 or 2 times per year.
Membership: 3 members; appointed by governor; limited expenses. 3 members (no member may have held political office, been a member of a political organization, an employee of a state agency, or an employee or member of an appointing authority for one year preceding appointment); appointed by governor; 3-year terms; per diem.
