State Lottery Board

Minnesota State Lottery Board
Function: Advises the director of the Minnesota State Lottery; reviews and comments on rules and game procedures, procurement contracts, joint lottery agreements, and advertising; and approves any additional annual compensation for the director. History: Abolished July 1, 1995 (1995 Minn. Laws Chap. 254 Art. 1 Sec. 80).
Membership: 7 members: the board consists of six members appointed by the governor plus the commissioner as a voting member. Not more than three of the members appointed by the governor under this subdivision may belong to the same political party and at least three members must reside outside the seven-county metropolitan area.
