    Note: This mandate was amended by 2021 Minn. Laws 1st Spl. Sess. Chap. 4 Art. 4 Sec. 6. A legislator planning to introduce a bill or amendment containing a mandated health benefit proposal must notify the legislative committees that have jurisdiction over health insurance policy and finance by August 1 before the legislative session. The committees then have 15 days to notify the Minn. Dept. of Commerce that an evaluation is required. The Minn. Dept. of Commerce then has 180 days to submit its report to the author of the proposal and to the same legislative committees. The evaluation contained in the report is based is to be conducted in consultation with the Minn. Dept. of Health and Minn. Management and Budget. Minn. Dept. of Commerce believes no reports were published under this mandate prior to 2019.
