By January 1, 2022, the State Correctional Facilities Security Audit Group shall establish security audit standards for state correctional facilities. The security audit group must periodically review the standards and modify them as needed.
According to the Minn. Dept. of Corrections, the chairs of the relevant committees and the primary bill author agreed as of February 2022 to an extension on the due date. They are now expecting the report by August 15, 2022. The level of work required for this task was more than the group could manage in the time provided.
