The board shall annually review and, as necessary, revise the model confidential informant policy in collaboration with representatives from the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, Minn. Police Chiefs Association, Minn. Sheriffs' Association, Minn. Police and Peace Officers Association, Minn. County Attorneys Association, treatment centers for substance abuse, and mental health organizations.
According to the Minn. Board of Peace Officer Standards and Training, as of January 2024 there have been no revisions since the first promulgation of the policy.
