Note:
|
The curriculum must be flexible enough to be delivered in community and correctional settings by individuals with various levels of education and qualifications, including but not limited to professionals in criminal justice, health care, mental health care, and social services.
The board must review and update the curriculum as needed.
The State Competency Restoration Board is within the Judicial Branch and is not under the administrative authority of the Supreme Court. Therefore, the Judicial Branch is not involved in the Board's operations. This relationship mirrors the relationship the Judicial Branch has with the public defender system and the guardian ad litem system.
Funding for the State Competency Restoration Board begins July 1, 2023.
